Birdfy allows you to automagically transforms your @users and #hashtags markups in your posts\/pages into links to Twitter profiles\/hashtags search.<\/p>\n<p>All you have to do is install this plugin, and you\u2019re good to go.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Features<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Automatically discovers @ and # content into your posts and pages (excluding e-mails, dots after usernames and so on);<\/li>\n<li>You can disable users and\/or hashtags discovery both globally or in individual posts\/pages;<\/li>\n<li>Optionally, you can choose to open the links in a new window\/tab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Usage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Simply install the plugin and start to cite Twitter profiles by using @ before the twitter username you want to link, and the plugin will transform it into a link to the profile. Same with hashtags, by simply use # before any word \u2013 like in Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to fine tune the plugin, you still can go to the Options page, named \u201cBirdy Settings\u201d (inside the Settings menu) and enable\/disable the options you want. Remember that this options will act globally.<\/p>\n<p>You may want to disable @users\/#hashtags links in individual posts\/pages also.
